Colan is an awesome location for an unforgettable wedding day.
Described variously as .. "completely unique", "quintessentially english", "like a film set", "very special"
We're primarily a house rental venue and only host a handful of weddings each year so can genuinely claim to provide you with unique venue.
Couples often get married at the 11th Century Colan Church, stroll down the country lane to a champagne reception on the front garden before a reception begins in marquees located within our 11 acres.
Wedding parties take over the entire property including accommodation, grounds, swimming pool etc. and leisure facilities.
We can also provide an in-house hog roast and catering service to really enhance the country/rural setting. There is also an option of the 'morning after the night before' BBQ round the pool for recovering guests!
The Cost: Please note that we're primarily used for weekly house rentals and therefore the pricing of any wedding is based first on the basic house rental cost with a wedding usage premium to be added. The level of wedding premium is dependent on numbers, type of event, time of year etc. but, as a minimum, you will need to add 50% to the basic house rental cost when assessing the likely cost of renting Colan Barton for wedding usage.
