Colan Barton is a combination of holiday properties sleeping up to 19 people with a range of different facilities depending on which cottages you hire. We have landscaped gardens, fantastic swimming pool, summer house, orchard, stables & outbuildings, BBQ area and parking for very large groups including weddings. The house is set back from gentle Cornish lanes with deep hedgerows where you'll find your peace disturbed by little more than the occasional rambler or tractor. Accommodation options as follows; |
Option 1(Accommodates up to 19 with exclusive use of the entire property): Rent the entire complex with access to all areas of property and land including swimming pool, summer house, 11 acres of land, front & rear gardens. Creates total privacy and is ideal for large families and groups or wedding parties.
Option 2 (Accommodates up to 15 with exclusive use of gardens & swimming pool): We have split the main property into two rentable units but they can be re-integrated and easily rented together. This allows exclusive access to the main gardens - front & back - the swimming pool, summer house, orchard & meadows, lower land and pond with parking for many cars.
Option 3 (Accommodates up to 11 with exclusive use of swimming pool): Renting the main house - Colan Barton - allows you use of the main section of a 400 year old property with gorgeous stone floors, extensive farmhouse kitchen with aga, exclusive use of the rear gardens, land, pond, swimming pool, summer house, meadows & orchard, stables and parking for 4/5 cars.
Option 4 (Accommodates 4): Renting the main cottage alone - Little Barton - allows you use of a gorgeous and well appointed cottage with use of the front garden that runs up to the lane. Parking for two cars is available to the side of the property accessed via an old lynch gate, once connected to nearby Colan Church, onto the beautiful front lawn.
Option 5 (Accommodates 2 each): Renting one or both - Boslawen & Gwen an Lagen - allows you use cute & cosy studio cottages. Self-contained with private access they enable low at low cost to enjoy the tranquil charm of colan with private patio area and reclining chairs looking across pond, meadow and distant cornish churches.
